The 'Prevent' Duty.
With effect from the 1st July 2015 all schools were subject to a new duty which is to have 'due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism'. This duty is known as the 'Prevent' duty. Statutory guidance was published by the DfE in June 2015. A copy can be downloaded from the following link:
